SLAM CITY SKATES SUMMER 2011 LOOKBOOK
Our Neal’s Yard shop remains a hub and we’re welcoming a steady influx of new crews who pass through before exploring the city. It’s safe to say that skateboarding in London is alive and well. This lookbook marks our 25th anniversary and we are more than happy to still be here after all this time. Our new collection shot by Dominic Marley features Slam team riders Paddy Jones, Nick Jensen, Karim Bakhtaoui and Charlie Young. They are pictured in our classic logo T-Shirt which is now available in an array of new colourways as well as items from our recent Silas collaboration. To mark this important anniversary we also wanted to create some shirts designed by artists with deep ties to our history and we are stoked we got to work with James Jarvis and Fergus Purcell, two inspirations who have been welcome visitors since the nineties. Fergus designed our ‘Beers’ T-Shirt which references an 80s sitcom set in a bar called Cheers in Boston, a love note to after hours refreshments and the community aspect of our address. James’ unmistakable work appears on our Caleb T-Shirt, the character is the focus of a new comic he is working on with Slam alumnus Russel Waterman. We hope these new shirts become part of your Summer, thanks for your continued support and here’s to another 25 years.
