Summer Solstice arrived out of nowhere and we celebrated Go Skateboarding Day as we always do. This year we teamed up with Nike SB and tried to arrange something close to home. Nothing more than some fun bits and pieces to mix things up and some special guests. We kicked off proceedings at Mile End, new additions were built for the day by Chris Oliver.
Slam team rider and megaphone don Neil Smith was master of ceremonies and Nike SB team were out in force. We were joined by Korahn Gayle, Kyron Dais, Casper Brooker, Chris Jones, Nick Jensen, Savannah Stacey Keenan, Julian Kimura, Kyle Wilson, Jak Pietryga and special guests Cyrus Bennett and Hugo Boserup. Many prizes were won, beers drunk, pizzas eaten and a diverse crew enjoyed the day from seven-year-olds to over 40’s and even a pirate. Here’s a gallery of photos from the day shot by Maksim Kalanep…
