BYOBSS Converse Purple Recap

Here is a BYOBSS Converse Purple recap, a photo gallery of what went down when Pop Trading Company and Converse converged before the purple premiere…

Saturday was amazing, massive thank you to everybody who came out and put their faith in the weather holding out. Big thank you also to Pop Trading Company and Converse for making it possible. Weather forecasts resulted in a lot of people left on the fence about the Canada Water session being a wash out but it couldn’t have worked out better. Pop enlisted the legendary Chris Oliver to make and paint obstacles which appeared for the day.

Needless to say Chroliver left his mark on them as you will see in the edit above which was filmed and edited by Sami El Hassani with Music by Toto Boroto. That frontside bluntslide happened moments after setting things up. The Pop family made sure beers and refreshments were on hand, prizes were shared out and it was inspiring to see an organic event like this go off without a hitch and to see so many people show up on the day. The Pop family were all in attendance on a tear…

Slam team riders like Darius Trabalza, Neil Smith and Jak Pietryga were out there on the day killing it alongside them…

Darius was there throughout, quietly making the most of the new additions. You had to be there to see it because it happened under the radar. He did an amazing nollie nose blunt slide on Chris’ purple wave once and only once and it was poetic. He also made quick work of the picnic table…

Just before the rains came and prompted the powerslides, the Converse team arrived straight off the Red Eye from New York on the second day of their premiere hopping schedule. Due to the rain nobody had boards but Sean Pablo borrowed one and got involved. Him and Smithy took the kicker to the rail and both got to grips with it before it was unskateable, signing off on an enjoyable day out…

Next everyone headed to Slam Covent Garden for beers and pizza courtesy of Converse…

Fed and watered, everybody headed off to the premiere of the new Converse video ‘Purple’ at the Prince Charles cinema. The video was epic but that’s another story. If you missed the premiere, you will be able to see it for yourselves in less than two weeks. Thanks once again to everyone who made this day possible.
