Summer In The City Winners

Posted on

We are pleased to be able to bring you the videos from our Summer In The City competition which we put together with Vans. Thanks to everyone who came down to House Of Vans on Friday and made it a memorable evening. The cinema was full to capacity and raucous just like premieres should be. We will bring you a photo gallery of the event later this week, for now here are the winning videos from the night.

First place went to Austin Bristow. His edit above raised the roof on the night and the win was well deserved. It features Cam Barr, Kyle Wilson, Charlie Birch, Cameron Gooden & Donkey (Nelly Mayele). Everybody went in for this one. These guys are out skating the city all the time, it’s great to see that this competition put their footage together in one place. Kyle Wilson wins trick of the competition, just see what he takes for a spin over the picnic table at Southbank! We hear Austin is taking this crew on another trip so we look forward to seeing the results of that one. Second place went to Vincent Kelsey…

Again the standard of this was super high. It features James Grindley, Tim Prozorov, Oscar Oneim, Harrison Holsgrove and Harley Dean. The best thing about this competition has been getting to see what everyone has been up to. Different crew pass through our shops every week but this has brought them together. It’s good to know that this level goes down on a weekly basis. You are going to be surprised by the London Bridge ender on this entry! Third place was taken by a crew called Skum…

This edit was made by Shane Smith. It features Curtis Pearl, Tom Moatti, Jake Church, Joshua Jennings, P.J, Shane Smith and Sebdula Oblongada. Any Curtis & Jake footage is always appreciated and this edit doesn’t disappoint on that front. The skateboarding is interesting and the Big busk Freddy Waterloo station track keeps it moving. So those three are the well deserved winners. Notable was another edit which was also called out on the night as taking fourth place. Third was a toss up between Skum and Shellfinger, Skum pipped them to the post but the Shellfinger crew still won some confectionery on the night…

Their less than serious edit had some serious skateboarding in it. Featured are Mickey Johnson, Ken Baemers, Wob, Bwooker, Antman, Nigel Smyth and TeeTee. Be sure to follow ShellFinger for banter. Hopefully we will see more edits from these guys now. It was a tough call judging this comp but Vans did a good job. Today we have posted the winners. We will host the other entries during this week so stay tuned.
